Sheer Weave Performance Plus

The Phifer SheerWeave collection is a line-up of high performance, energy-saving sun control fabrics for use in both commercial and residential applications. Much of the SheerWeave line is infused with built-in Microban antimicrobial protection, which works continuously for the lifetime of the fabric to inhibit the growth of stain- and odor-causing bacteria, mold and mildew.

The entire SheerWeave collection is GREENGUARD Certified for superior indoor air quality performance. SheerWeave fabrics are also GREENGUARD Gold Certified, meeting strict criteria that considers the safety of sensitive individuals and ensures products are acceptable for use in environments such as schools and healthcare facilities.

SheerWeave Style 4000, 4100 and 4400 with DOW ECOLIBRIUM™ --  The SheerWeave 4000, 4100 and 4400 series fabrics are made with sustainable DOW ECOLIBRIUM™ Bio-Based Plasticizers. ECOLIBRIUM is produced from 98% renewable feedstock and offers a phthalate-free alternative to shades constructed with traditional plasticizers. These new compounds meet tough regulatory requirements, providing a reduced carbon footprint and compound that can be recycled in a standard vinyl stream. DOW ECOLIBRIUM ™ Bio-Based Plasticizers also reduce greenhouse gases by 40 percent versus traditional plasticizers. Phifer is the first and only window coverings manufacturer with DOW ECOLIBRIUM™ in its fabrics.

SheerWeave Performance+ -- Offering the maximum in SheerWeave benefits, this fabric takes the performance of a traditional Phifer SheerWeave fabric “plus” the highly reflective properties of metallization and combines them to achieve the ultimate in sun control protection (see photo, above). Performance+ fabrics act as a thermal barrier at the window, reflecting solar heat from the building, reducing the amount of glare at the window and increasing the outward view through the shade.  Whether glare reduction or improved heat reduction is desired, Performance+ is the ideal choice to manage the harsh effects of the sun.

SheerWeave Infinity2™ -- Phifer’s eco-friendly, SheerWeave Infinity2 is a collection of 100-percent recyclable, PVC- and lead-free window shade fabrics. Infinity2 is woven from the only core yarn, synthetic or natural, born out of post-industrial waste by-product. Through production advancements, Infinity2 offers a thinner, more lightweight fabric over its predecessor, SheerWeave Infinity, for an overall improved look and easier fabrication.

SheerWeave Fabrics with Acoustical Properties -- SheerWeave BASIC 3%, Style 2500 and Performance+ Style 2500 fabrics have Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) values ranging from .50 to .60.  The performance of these SheerWeave fabrics peaks depending on the type of sound they are exposed to. Each has been shown to display increased absorption among human speech frequencies, making them even more effective at controlling sound in locations such as office settings in which privacy and noise reduction are key. Within the frequencies of human speech, these three fabric styles achieved absorption values up to .83.
