Perennial Wood Now Available In Post Wraps

PostWrap.jpgPerennial Wood™ is now available in post wraps that utilize the same non-toxic TruLast wood preservative system as the company's decking and porch flooring.

TruLast Technology permanently transforms the wood’s cellular structure throughout by using heat, pressure and a natural acetyl compound to replace the water-loving (hydrophilic) groups in the wood’s cells with water-hating (hydrophobic) groups. The resulting wood remains straighter, smoother and harder than unmodified wood, while maintaining the wood’s natural appearance. Perennial Wood is warranted to protect against rot, decay and movement for 25 years.

Perennial Wood post wraps provide a nominal finished dimension of 6" x 6" to traditional 4" x 4" posts. They come knocked down for easy assembly with the provided stainless steel fasteners. Once assembled, the post wraps simply slide over the top of the 4" x 4" posts. They are available uncoated or factory-finished in Cape Cod Gray, Cedar and Mahogany.

“They are a nice option when people want to use wood for posts along with components of the Perennial Wood railing system or simply want that column-like profile to their posts,” said Jim Flickinger, market development manager for Perennial Wood. “With the post wraps, they can be confident the posts will last, as they are modified using the same TruLast™ Technology used in Perennial Wood decking and porch flooring."

Perennial Wood Touch-up Pens
PensPerennial Wood now offers color-matched touch-up pens that quickly repair surface scratches or blemishes to any of the company's four factory applied deck finishes: Mahogany, Cedar, Redwood and Cape Cod Gray. The touch-up pens are available free of charge to end-users who complete the appropriate form at the Perennial Wod website.

Perennial Wood, a product of Eastmen Chemical, utilizes the non-toxic TruLast™ acetylation process to permanently transform the wood’s cellular structure. The process infuses the wood with an acetic acid compound under heat and pressure to convert the wood's water-loving (hydrophilic) cell structure to water-hating (hydrophobic). The process increases the wood's dimensional stability while maintaining the wood’s natural texture and appearance. The wood is warranted against rot, decay and movement for 25 years. Currently available applications include Perennial Wood decking and Perennial Wood porch flooring.
